In response to the COVID-19 pandemic Wheels O’ Time Museum closed during the 2020 season. Museums are now allowed to reopen following IL State, CDC and Health Department guidelines. Wheels O’ Time opened for the season on May, 1, 2021.
We are taking recommended safety precautions to allow access to the museum’s numerous interactive exhibits. Masks or face coverings are required while indoors. Social distancing, reduced occupancy, and one way paths are implemented in addition to enhanced cleaning protocols.
Some of our push buttons have been modified into foot pedals or have motion sensors.
Hand sanitizer is present in all the areas where hand on activities are available.
We are excited to see people coming through the doors again, we are delighted to see our volunteers back on campus and we are thrilled to show all the new exhibits and all the many changes the museum has undergone during the last months. We are fortunate to have a large campus with outdoor displays and six spacious exhibit buildings. There is plenty of room for visitors to be distanced from each other and feel comfortable at the Wheels O’ Time Museum.
